Virginia Beach - Barry S. Behrman, 70, of Virginia Beach, passed away April 23, 2016. Barry was born in Norfolk, the son of the late Aaron and Gertrude Behrman. Barry was the proud founder of Q-Master Billiards and operated over 40 years, as well as the founder of Pools' most prestigious 9-Ball event in the world, the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships. 

 

He is survived by his children, Brady of Charlottesville, Virginia and Shannon Paschall (Walter) of Virginia Beach, sisters; Gloria Ornoff of Norfolk, Sharon Schloss (Ben) of Norfolk; grandchildren, Hailey & Hannah Behrman and Aiden, Bailey & Abigail Paschall, as well as his "Boys", Buddy & Wimpy. 

 

A graveside service was held Wednesday, April 27 at 11am at Forest Lawn Cemetery Norfolk. A celebration of life was then held at Q-Master Billiards immediately following the service of which hundreds joined us in the celebration of his life, friends traveled in to pay their respect from all over the country and internationally, from Europe. 

 

Prior to his passing, Barry had said to son, Brady "You nor Shannon know everything but between the two of you, there's nothing you don't know".

In Barry's eulogy, Brady said "The fruit of his labor. Shannon and I will both continue your legacy and again, rest knowing that you and your hard work will live on. We will see to it, with a little help from you, your friends, customers and the industry you loved, lived and breathed, Pool and Billiards"

 

Q-Master Billiards continues on, carried by his Children and Nephew, Gary Ornoff as the General Manager.

 

Barry's song, the song he wanted played at his service was "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. Anyone who knew Barry, knew he did just that!
